It was really hard for me to get excited about wedding. Wedding of my dream was simple, simply simple. However, it was just a dream. I chose to go through all that trouble one year ago despite reluctance, because I love my mom and the other half who so obsessed with doing it. So it became one of my projects, a 12-month project. We followed almost each steps of Chinese wedding practice like present betrothal gifts and setting up matrimonial bed. Our Feng Shui master told us that our Matrimonial Bed Setting (安床) must be done at 1-2pm. His sister’s parents-in-law are goodlife aunt and uncle. We asked them a favor to set the matrimonial bed. Betrothal gift ceremony has to be done before 12pm. He arrived at my home at 10am and he brought along these: Invitation card (请帖) Betrothal money (聘礼金) Red cloth: one 9 foot, one 9 foot 9 inches (红布: 一条9尺 一条9尺9) Wedding candle (龙凤烛) Wedding cakes (蛋糕) Wedding biscuit (大佬花) Wedding biscuit (礼饼) Hard liquor (礼酒) Chicken (Replaced with red packet) (礼鸡) Roast pig (Replaced with red packet) (金猪) Tangerine (柑：同甘共苦) Red tortoise cake (红龟粿：福禄长寿) Gold (黄金：金玉满堂) Rice (五谷米：五谷丰收) Areca catechu (槟榔：宾娘偕老) Dried longan (龙眼干：福员合家) Walnut (核桃，京果之一) Red bean (红豆，京果之一) Green bean (绿豆，京果之一) Lotus seeds (莲子：连生贵子) Lily bulb (百合：百年好和) Sea cucumber (海参，海味之一：山珍海味) Mushroom (蘑菇，海味之一：山珍海味) Fat Choy (发菜：发财。也是海味之一：山珍海味) Dried oyster (蚝干，海味之一：山珍海味) Then, my mom brought her son-in-law lunch.
