Betrothal gift ceremony has to be done before 12pm. He arrived at my home at 10am and he brought along these:

1. Invitation card (请帖)
2. Betrothal money (聘礼金)
3. Red cloth: one 9 foot, one 9 foot 9 inches (红布: 一条9尺 一条9尺9)
4. Wedding candle (龙凤烛)
5. Wedding cakes (蛋糕)
6. Wedding biscuit (大佬花)
7. Wedding biscuit (礼饼)
8. Hard liquor (礼酒)
9. Chicken (Replaced with red packet) (礼鸡)
10. Roast pig (Replaced with red packet) (金猪)
11. Tangerine (柑：同甘共苦)
12. Red tortoise cake (红龟粿：福禄长寿)
13. Gold (黄金：金玉满堂)
14. Rice (五谷米：五谷丰收)
15. Areca catechu (槟榔：宾娘偕老)
16. Dried longan (龙眼干：福员合家)
17. Walnut (核桃，京果之一)
18. Red bean (红豆，京果之一)
19. Green bean (绿豆，京果之一)
20. Lotus seeds (莲子：连生贵子)

Then, my mom brought her son-in-law lunch.

The return gift ceremony can only be done after 2pm. Bride’s side returned these:

4. Returning part of the tangerine (柑：同甘共苦)

8. One areca catechu (一粒槟榔：宾娘偕老)
9. Returning part of the dried longan (龙眼干：福员合家)
